Welcome!

Hello and welcome to 'Save Me from Myself'. This blog idea spawned from a very close friend of mine who has had some very traumatic, life-changing events happen in the past 10 years. It is dedicated to anyone who has ever had a serious problem or issue eating away at them but didn't know who to go to for help. There is no issue too big or too small-everything is important and everything needs to be addressed. Designed to give you a safe, confidential outlet to talk about any burning issue you want, I will be here to listen to every word you have to say. You may ask, "Why would you do this for people you don't know?" The answer is: Because I care. Even though I may not know you, I have either experienced or been close with people that know what it is like to A) feel like there is no one out there who understands you B) feel like if you do talk to someone close to you about a problem they'll try to have you taken away for good C) God forbid, resort to inflicting pain on your body in one of many forms: AKA Self-Mutilation (cutting, burning, binge eating, binge dieting...the list goes on and on) because it is the only thing you think will make you feel better. I want to make a difference in your life, and I truly believe that all anyone really needs in life is to know that someone out there cares about you even if you don't know them that well. In the end, I want to be that positive force in your life--even if it is for a short time. With that being said, maybe it is a bit too much to think I can 'be the hero' and solve everyone's problems--because I know that I can't do that. What I do know is that I AM someone you can go to whenever things get dark and you feel like there is no hope/no one to talk to about it. Think of it like this: If one person helps another person, and that person helps someone else, and so on and so forth...we are all helping each other which is what I believe one of our main goals here on Earth is to do. So, I encourage you to send me your thoughts on anything you want to really. Please title everything, 'Save Me From Myself'. This is your first step to getting better if you haven't sought help yet, and one of the many steps along your journey to getting better for good. Like Tom Cruise says in Jerry Maguire, "Help Me Help You".
