Here we are--the last Friday of the shortest month of the year. Can you believe we're already through the first 2 months of 2021? So much has happened for us in the last 2 months that it's hard to wrap our head around it sometimes. For starters, there was the whole raiding of the capitol building in Washington, DC after the election results came in. Our former President of the U.S.A., Donald Trump, was tried for impeachment twice--once during his presidency, and once in the months of January and February. Both attempts proved unsuccessful, but still raises quite a few eyebrows. We are still considered in quarantine/lockdown and social distance mode with doing anything in the community that's inside (going food shopping, item shopping, church, flying, taking a train, etc...).
And, this doesn't even count everything going on in each of our personal lives. Just the big things happening on national and international radar.
Let us take this time, this last day of the shortest month, to reflect upon how short life really is, and not take for granted our loved ones and everything else we have at our disposal. Let us not take for granted our lives either. In doing so, it is in our best interest as well as the interest of others to live a meaningful, purpose-filled life that does for the greater good in self-less ways. We will all be better off for it now and in the future.
