"When I'm in the car and somebody comes on the radio singing the high notes, I try to sing along."
-Burton Cummings
What a concept: to sing for the challenge of hitting high notes while at the same time being in the comfort of your own car where no one else can hear you do it (singing that is). It's not easy hit high notes on a whim, so the fact Burton is willing to do so in the spur of the moment speaks to the ability to jump right in and not be afraid to fail. Of course, it's easier to do so when we feel like no one is listening or watching. Why? Because when we sing, we're putting ourselves out there in the most vulnerable way. It can be scary, and the idea of singing something out of tune or off-pitch can be embarrassing. But, I would urge you to sing loud and proud for all to hear. The world needs more positivity and beauty in it, and, to me, you would only be adding to that by singing anything, including those high notes.
Have a Happy Sunday!
