What's a great way to show love and affection? Holding hands. It is a great kind of PDA (public display of affection). To see people doing so shows they are comfortable enough to let the world know they are together, and that they will not let somebody or something get between them. Why do we bring this up today? Because it is National Hand Holding Day. Yes, there is such a day. Some songs that come to mind about holding hands are:
I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles; AND
Hold My Hnad by Hootie and the Blowfish
So, the next time you see a couple, a father and son, mother and son, and/or family holding hands, let us remember that it is a great way to literally feel connected to someone else, and an outwards expression of love which is celebrated every August 9th.
