Happy World Mental Health Day. In today's day and age, times are tough. As human beings, we are all thrown into the fire, so to speak, when we are born. We have to figure out this thing called life, with guidance from parents and loved ones, if we are lucky. If we aren't so lucky, we may learn things that aren't so great for our mental and/or physical well-being. In either case, life is hard, and there isn't a handbook on how to live it the right way, per se. Although some would argue that the Bible is that handbook, and I would agree with them, it isn't everyone's cup of tea.
But, I digress.
From awkward social situations to hardships, trials and tribulations, the loss of a loved one, a car accident, or a slew of many other less than ideal life moments, it can be difficult to maneuveur how to handle them or put them in their place without suffering some of kind of short to long term mental damage. At the end of the day, just know that you are not alone. There are resources out there to help if you are feeling like the world is spinning out of control or you feel overwhelmed. As amazing as our brain's are, they can only process so much in a given day and in a given life-time. There are people out there who love you that you can call in a time of need. It could be a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a complete stranger.
Let's help each other out, and keep this in mind today and every day. Life is short. Let's make it as joyous and stress-free as possible.
