"I'm singing in the rain, Just singin' in the rain, What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again."
-Arthur Freed
Great lyrics and great message! Arthur hits it right on the head with this one. It's all about making the best out of a situation (IE: being out in the rain isn't almost the most pleasant thing in the world, but singing while you're doing it not only makes it more tolerable but even enjoyable). There are plenty of moments, experiences, situations in life that are less than ideal. Do we let them get the best of us, turning into the worst versions of ourselves to not only ourselves but to all those around us, or do we rise to the occasion, flipping any negative, doubtful, or ugly thoughts/emotions/outcomes on their heads? I don't know about you, but I'd rather the latter. Why? Because life is too short to be angry, hold grudges, or just be generally pissed off at the world all the time. In the heat of the moment, is it fun to deal with whatever is going on? No, but singing about it will most certainly make it fun. It could be a string of things in a row that have not gone your way or gone completely wrong. Still, sing, sing, and sing some more. You literally lighten the mood if you're able to be aware in the moment to do so. So, do yourself and everyone else a favor by singing yourself into a happy mood each and every day. Even if the world is throwing curveball after curveball trying to weigh you down and kill your spirits, just sing. It is a 'glorious feeling' and you'll be 'happy again'.
