One-Hit Wonders

One-Hit Wonders. They are pretty awesome, aren't they? Some people go back and forth with their relevance or importance in the grand scheme of the musical world, but we believe they are overall good and serve their purpose. Being musicians ourselves, we'd say it's better to be a one-hit wonder than a no-hit wonder. And, let's face it--it's not easy to write a song that the majority of the people in the world (or at least the U.S.A.) will like and think is worthy of being played over and over again. No one knows exactly what will 'stick' or become famous. Yes, there is a formula one could follow for writing a song that at least has a chance to become a hit: to write a song about 3 to 3 and a half minutes long which has a Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus. Of course, the melody and music has to be memorable and catchy to get stuck in someone's head as well. That's the hard part.

So, in honor of National One Hit Wonder Day being next Sunday, September 25th, here are some songs for you to enjoy which are just that, 'One-Hit Wonders'.
