Mother Earth

The Pale Blue Dot, Home, Mother Earth. We all live on this wonderful planet known by a few names. It's no wonder we refer to it as Mother Earth though. I mean, what does a mother do after all? A mother takes care of her children, provides for them, makes sure they're safe and sound...not just for right now, but for many years to come. And, isn't this what our planet has done for all her children...us? She's been here for 4.5 billion years, and provides loves her 7.8 billion people currently on it. Even with all we've done in the form of pollution, she still provides a place for us to not just live, but thrive. Amazing. It's truly amazing. A miracle, if you will. And, not only that, but it's an unconditional love as well. She doesn't expect us to love her even though she most certainly loves us.

Why are we bringing this up? Because in light of recent events in 2020 (global pandemic, civil unrest with BLM, and political unrest with the election), there is so much to be thankful and grateful for. Do we take it for granted or do we fully appreciate all the goodness and positivity that is around us? There is obviously still so much beauty in the world, because if not, we wouldn't be here anymore. We would've isolated ourselves so far from one another or blown each other up if there wasn't so much beauty and love left. The good heavily outweighs the bad, and we believe it is our responsbility to keep it that way.

In paying homage and showing respect to our planet, our Founder/CEO, Jim Gaven, wrote a song called, 'Mother Earth' that speaks to this idea. Here are the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

Mother Earth, she’s been there for us, for years and years, throughout the ages Mother Earth, we have to take care of her, to survive and thrive, for future generations

Be there for each other, sisters and brothers, we are one family If we look past the color of our skin, we’d see we’re more alike than we are different, so let’s live in harmony

Mother Earth, she’s been there for us, for years and years, throughout the ages Mother Earth, we have to take care of her, to survive and thrive, for future generations

We need to work together, now and for forever, to save this planet, our home The storm that we are weathering, is a victory over suffering, there’s no way we could have planned it, on our own

Mother Earth, she’s been there for us, for years and years, throughout the ages Mother Earth, we have to take care of her, to survive and thrive, for future generations

We need to use our energy, to save our species, instead of playing the blame game It’s really so simple, that when words are used like missiles, it blows everything up in their wake

Mother Earth, she’s been there for us, for years and years, throughout the ages Mother Earth, we have to take care of her, to survive and thrive, for future generations
