In Like a Lion...

The first day of March. Can you believe it? It's been almost a year since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). What a year it's been for all of us.

We've been in lockdown/shutdown/isolation. We've social distanced. We've worn masks. We've been uncertain about what's going on. We've laughed. We've prayed. We've cried. We've done so many things we never thought we would have to in our lifetime. All in a year's time, nonetheless. And now, we're in the midst of getting the first and second round of vaccines out to the masses. It's quite something, isn't it? For one, we're sure it will be a year none of us will ever forget, and we can expect to see 2020 in History books for many generations to come.

Let us remember all those who have lost their lives or been directly impacted by the Coronavirus. Their lives were not in vain. It is our responsibility to take what we've learned so far from this deadly disease and use it to make the world a better place and to further enhance our species through anti-bodies and better hygiene practices. And, how can we forget herd immunity? Speaking of which, let us reflect on this idea of herd immunity as the old saying goes, "March comes in like a lion, and out like a lamb." A group of lions is considered a pride, but we can also look at it like a herd. Maybe it's not a coincidence things are starting to open up more a year into this global pandemic and that a working vaccine is now in motion this month. Maybe it's a call for all of us to band together even more to come out stronger than we were before all of this started.
