Happy Dr. Seuss Day! To the man who created such great stories (tongue twisters) for children to learn how to read and really articulate their words, this one's for you. It's interesting that his day falls on National Read Across America Day as well. Coincidental or Intentional? We, for one, think it's only fitting and meant to be.
Learning how to read is a rite of passage for children, heck, for anyone. Once you learn how to, an entire world is opened up to you to discover new topics, which in turn, helps your learn more than you could have ever imagined. It's a world within a world! For us, we see encouraging people to read as an act of kindness towards your fellow brother and sister.
So, in honor of celebrating this great day, here's a famous excerpt from his famous book, 'Green Eggs and Ham':
"I would not eat them here or there. I would not eat them anywhere. I would not eat green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am."
Do yourself a favor and peel through one of his books today, and try to remember how fun and amazing it is to have the ability to read.
