Sun-Day

We made it! It's Sunday--the seventh day of the week. For us, it signifies a day of rest and relaxation. A day to show gratitude and pay respect to God. A day to be with family and not work ourselves to the bone. It's not always an easy thing to slow down, though. Much of our lives are run by the clock--needing to be at this place at this time on rinse and repeat. When we finally do get a moment to take a deep breath, something else somehow manages to creep into our view that grabs our attention, time, and energy. Let us take a moment to reflect on how hard we work--for ourselves, for our loved ones, for God.

After all, the Sun, which is the source of life and giver of warmth and illumination to mankind, and Day, a period of twenty-four hours as a unit of time, make up Sunday. The Sun doesn't discriminate who it shines on--it shines on us all, and gives us so much. The least we ought to give it is one Day.
