March 21st, 3/21. What is the significance? It marks the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome. So, that makes it World Down Syndrome Day. Those who have down syndrome are amazing human beings, show so much love, and make us want to be better versions of ourselves. The least we can do is honor those who happen to have this beautiful chromosonal abnormality.
So, how can we celebrate? Rock some odd socks! It's fun and shows off your uniqueness as well as your family member, friend, or acquaintance who has Down Syndrome.
