Moments of Memory

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." Great lyric from Semisonic's 'Closing Time'. It's so true!

And, this is exactly what happens when we start a new week--the weekend ends, and we head into the week with a clean slate, a fresh start, another chance to move the boulder up the mountain, if you will. The weekend started on Friday (or maybe on Thursday for some people), and then comes to an end Sunday night. This cycle continues on and on and on throughout the years.

Let us never forget that all things in this life are temporary, and that is OK. It makes it so that there is a sense of urgency (even in the slightest bit) with the time we do have here on this Earth. Hopefully, we take advantage of the time we are granted as best as we can and we don't squander the days or opportunities placed at our doorsteps. If we do the former rather than the latter, we can most certainly lay our head on the pillow every night knowing that we lived our best life and made the most out of every moment. This is what we will be able to cling to when it is our time to leave this place...the moments in our memory.
