TGIF! It's Good Friday. It's interesting why it's called 'Good' Friday. Why? Because when you think about it, it doesn't seem like it's good according to the Bible. Jesus Christ was unjustly shamed, beaten, and then crucified. How is that 'good'? Well, what came out of this experience is good, great, dare we say, amazing and awesome. He died so that we can all be saved and experience eternity with God in Heaven. He rose from the dead on the 3rd day. In short, he defeated death. If that isn't otherwordly, divine, and miraculous, we don't know what is. Let us remember the sacrifice he made for all of mankind, and maybe we can incorporate this idea of sacrifice into our own lives in some small way. The more we do for others and not for ourselves, the more unselfish and better off we will be. This is the good stuff of life.
So, yes, it is a Good Friday in every sense of the word.
