In the Roman Catholic faith, Holy Saturday is a solemn day of anticipation for Easter Sunday. Why? Because it is believed Jesus Christ went down into Hell and saved any righteous souls that were mistakenly there before he made the ultimate sacrifice by laying down his life to save souls for eternal glory in the Kingdom of Heaven. So, let us remember this sacrifice, and try in our own lives to make even the smallest of sacrifices for our loved ones today (and every day for that matter). The end result will be more goodness coming back to us since we are putting good karma/good works into the world, and doing it for the right reason. What this right reason? Doing good just for the sake of doing good and not expecting anything in return. This is unconditional love in action!
