This seems quite obvious, doesn't it? That's because it is. The same thing can be applied to everything in life. The same can be said for a guitarist--the duty of a guitarist is to play guitar. And, likewise for a mother--the duty of a mother is to be a mother. It's about a singular focus on what you are working on, contributing to, or a part of. If the duty of a singer was to not just sing, but do this, that, or the other thing, he/she would not be the best they can be. Why? Because the attention would be divided amongst many other areas and not just on singing. When we focus on one channel, the results are on a higher level than the adverse.
The moral of the story is to stick to one lane, continue honing your craft, and the rest will fall into place one way or another.
Don't worry about all the 'what if' scenarios or variables out of your control. The only thing we ought to be worrying about is how to become the best version of ourselves through laser focus. Everything else is just noise or a distraction.
