National Good Neighbor Day

Happy National Good Neighbor Day! If you live next to somebody, you are someone's neighbor. It's fairly plain and simple. However, being a 'good neighbor' goes a step further. It means being there for someone in a pinch when no one else in your inner circle (family/friends) is available. It means helping out with something on the street or the block when asked to do so, without expecting anything in return.

Mr. Roger's always called the audience his 'neighbor'. In essence, he meant 'friend'. Are you a friendly face/person that other people want to be around? We hope so! Being a good neighbor will inevitably open more doors and create more opportunities for you in life.

In addition to that, State Farm has claimed the idea of 'neighbor' as well with their slogan, 'Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there'.
