What a great metaphor for life! You have to live your life to the fullest before your time runs out. This is essentially saying the same thing. Now, we can take this in another direction and say that you have to sing songs you enjoy while you're still able to sing...meaning, while you still have your singing voice and it doesn't give out on you. In both cases, we are talking about the concept of time as it relates to singing a literal song (an actual song you hear on the radio, for instance) and a metaphorical song (life). Bottom line is that we owe it to ourselves to sing loud and proud, to make our presence known, to make our mark on the world, if you will, using our gifts and talents to the best of our abilities. After all, we only have one life to live, so we might as well do our best to live it in all its glory!
