Here's another excerpt from 'The Daily Song' for your viewing pleasure. We are in the process of arranging and writing this book, so we felt it was most appropriate to share with you today.
“A person can drop dead even while singing. But that's no reason to stop singing.”
-Marty Rubin
I love the sentiment behind this. To me, it's akin to the idea of doing anything in life, even living in general. Let's replace the word 'singing' with 'living', and you'll see what I mean: 'A person can drop dead even while living. But that's no reason to stop living.' Of course, this is taking it to the extreme, so here's another example. We'll replace the word 'singing' with 'walking' now: 'A person can drop dead even while walking. But that's no reason to stop walking.'
Just because we will drop dead someday shouldn't stop us from living our lives. If you enjoy singing, then sing! Sing as much as you want. Take every opportunity to do so. If we are lucky enough to find something (whether it be a gift/talent, skill, or hobby) we enjoy, even if it's more than one thing, as that can easily happen throughout life, then, by all means, do it as much as possible. Now, we want to be clear here and say that we believe it ought to be moral, ethical, and legal as well. As long as what you enjoy doing falls within the moral, ethical, and legal realm, then there's no reason to not do it. We only have one life, so let's live it doing the things we love and spending as much time as we can with those we care about the most.
