TGIF!!!
Here is another excerpt from our upcoming book in the works, 'The Daily Song'. Enjoy :)
“This is for us who sing, write, dance, act, study, run and love and this is for doing it even if no one will ever know because the beauty is in the act of doing it, not in what it can lead to.”
-Charlotte Erikkson
You’re darn right! The beauty is in the act of doing the ‘thing’, if you will, not in what it can potentially lead to. In other words, it is akin to the idea of enjoying the journey along the way in life. The journey is the destination and the destination is the journey. They are one in the same. If you don’t enjoy the ride, or in this case, enjoy singing, dancing, or writing, but are doing it more for the end result, then what is the point? In fact, you’ve missed the point entirely. You would be missing the present moment, and since life is made up of many small moments, potentially missing out on the beauty that is life. Plus, if you’re doing something strictly for the end result or what it could lead to, then you’re doing it for the wrong reason. Let us do our best to be in the moment, and appreciate all the steps along the way, whatever journey you are on.
