Last Sunday of March

Can you believe it? We're starting the last week of March right now. In fact, today is the last Sunday of the month. The old saying, 'March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb' doesn't ring true this year. It's quite the opposite. The weather will be turning colder for the next few days, not reaching above 45 degrees, and then all of a sudden go up to the mid 70's with thunderstorms on the last day of the month. This is OK. The one thing we can takeaway from this is that life is ever-changing and you never know what is going to happen on any day. Even though the weather forecast calls for cold weather for 3 straight days to thunderstorms the next, this could also change. This is why we've always been fascinated with the weather. It is unpredicable. And, so is life.

There are certain things in our control, and still many things that aren't. We can't control traffic. We can't control other people's behaviors. We can't control the price of gas. But, what we can control is how we react to situations. This is the one thing that truly is in our control. Do we react in a calm, peaceful, well-thought out, and careful manner? Or, do we react with an in-your-face out of control, loose cannon, flying off the handle kind of way? Let us not forget that it doesn't do anyone any good to react in the latter--the person reacting or the person being reacted to or in front of.

The moral of the story is simple: Be calm. Be stoic. Be calculated.
