April 1st...we made it! Can you believe it? Winter is officially behind us, and spring has definitely sprung. We hear the birds out every morning singing their beautiful song, the sun is coming out a bit more, it's getting warmer each and every day, the flowers are starting to bloom, the grass is starting to green and grow again, and the rain has been coming off and on (already with the April showers!).
In honor of this Awesomely Amazing Astounding month, let us remember all those who have Autism. April is Autism Awareness month, and, the color blue is associated with this particular developmental disability. So, light it up blue for Autism all month long! There are so many people in the world who are diagnosed with Autism these days, and our experience with them has been nothing short of amazing. We believe they have so much to teach us about patience, compassion, understanding, and love, and have been fortunate enough to learn this over the last 11 years of working in the human services field. Thank you for teaching us more about these positive attributes and ways to be in the world. It is much appreciated.
Also, let's not forget that today is also April Fool's Day. Don't let yourself get fooled by a prank or April Fool's Joke!
But, we digress.
