Heatwave

If you thought last week was hot, you are in for a rude awakening this week. We are officially in a heatwave with temperatures forecasted to be 95 degrees and above from tomorrow until Sunday. Over the weekend, it's supposed to hit triple digits on both days! Now, we are not complaining about this, but rather stating what will most likely happen. And, of course, the weather can change as it is only predictable to a certain extent. Then, mother nature will do its thing whether we are on board with it or not.

Why are we bringing this up? Because sometimes in life things are uncomfortable. Sometimes they don't always go our way or as planned. This is OK. Is it ideal? No. Is it doable? Yes. Do we let it frustrate us into a tizzy? Do we let it engulf our being into non-action or paralysis? Or, do we go with the flow, doing our best to adapt to the ever-changing nature of the world around us?

So, the next time you think you are not able to do something, think again. Think really hard about all the skills, gifts, and talents you were given, the most important being the capacity to make decisions and think creatively for yourself. If you are able to do this, then you are in a good position to make the most out of any situation you're in.

Don't let the heat get you down, wipe away your energy, or suck out your creativity. You can do it. You can persevere. You can not only survive, but thrive!
